Music From The Big
Pink review
The
Bands Music From the Big Pink, their first release, is a masterpiece. A terrific
disc that includes some of their best originals, "The
Weight," "Chest Fever," and "To Kingdom
Come." Not to be
overlooked are two Bob Dylan tracks from the time they performed
together, "I Shall Be Released" and "Tears of
Rage." The albums name came from the color of the house in
upstate New York where they stayed in and wrote the songs for this
album, The Basement Tapes, and more. The reissued
version from 2000 includes nine bonus tracks of outtakes and
alternative takes. by Barry
